2. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Review all reports, tax returns, and financial statements for accuracy

  • Respond promptly to requests for additional information

  • Maintain copies of all original documents provided to us

We are not responsible for errors resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information supplied by the client.

3. Fees and Payment Terms

Fees for services will be communicated in advance and may be based on hourly rates, fixed pricing, or service packages. Payment terms include:

  • Invoices are due upon receipt unless otherwise stated in writing

  • Late payments may incur additional fees or service suspension

  • The Company reserves the right to require deposits or retainers

All fees are non-refundable once services have been rendered.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shillingford's Bookkeeping & Tax Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall be limited to the amount of fees paid by the client for the services giving rise to the claim.

6. Accuracy of Tax Filings

While we exercise due professional care in preparing tax returns and financial documents, clients are ultimately responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information submitted to tax authorities. Clients must review and approve all filings before submission.

We are not responsible for penalties or interest resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client or from changes in tax laws.

7. Record Retention

We may retain copies of client records for a period required by law or professional standards. Clients are responsible for maintaining their own original records. Upon termination of services, records may be returned or securely destroyed in accordance with our retention policies.

8. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate services at any time with written notice. Clients agree to pay for all services performed up to the termination date. We reserve the right to terminate services if a client fails to meet obligations under these Terms.

9. Website Use

All content on our website is provided for general informational purposes only. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of website content is prohibited. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Indemnification

Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shillingford's Bookkeeping & Tax Services from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the client’s misuse of services or failure to comply with these Terms.
